Improve bone healing around implants
PRF
Platelet-Rich Fibrin
PRF (Platelet-Rich Fibrin) is a biologic, autologous healing material made from the patient’s own blood. It is a fibrin matrix rich in platelets, growth factors and white blood cells. These components are slowly released over days, stimulating faster soft-tissue healing, better bone regeneration and reduced pain and swelling. That is the reason why patients often report less post-op discomfort, faster return to normal activity and smoother healing overall.
This procedure uses your body’s own healing potential to promote faster recovery, reduce discomfort, and improved healing after surgical procedures. That’s why is often used in extraction sockets, around implants during surgery specially mixed with bone grafts to improve regeneration and in periodontal (gum) surgeries.
The Platelet-Rich Fibrin is especially valuable in implant surgery and wisdom tooth extractions because it enhances healing without foreign materials or medications, therefore: no additives, no chemicals, no risk of rejection.
How PRF is made
A small amount of blood is drawn (similar to a lab test)
It’s spun in a centrifuge without anticoagulants
The blood naturally separates
The PRF layer is collected and used immediately
Because it’s 100% autologous, it’s extremely safe
PRF is commonly used in dentistry to
Benefits for implant patients
Faster healing
Lower inflammation
Better tissue quality
Improved long-term implant stability
PRF is especially powerful for wisdom teeth removal. It is placed into the extraction site to:
| PRF vs. “Traditional” Healing | ||
|---|---|---|
| Criterion | Traditional Healing | PRF-Assisted Healing |
| Biological Basis | Natural clot only | Enhanced biologic scaffold |
| Inflammatory Response | More inflammation | Reduced inflammation |
| Speed | Slower healing | Faster, more organized healing |
| Risk of Complications | Higher dry socket risk | Lower dry socket risk |
